The Life of Maestro Behind Events
Anecdote

A maverick in the luxury marketing event management scene, I first met Olga at an exclusive event with iconic French shoe designer Christian Louboutin. That night, many ladies in Singapore clamoured to get their presence in sans invitation. I was invited and advised by the brand not to post the venue location on my social media until later. After my post on instagram, apparently there were some gate-crashers, all just to get a photo with the master of the red-sole. That’s the kind of high-caliber, sizzling hot events that Olga creates.

If you want name-dropping, Olga’s events created for luxury brands in Singapore cannot be missed. “If you haven’t been to luxury brand private dinners hosted by Olga, your Tai Tai status is in doubt.”

Meanwhile, feast your eyes on the recent coffee book by Olga. Sumptuously bound, unique in every way for a book, it is to be placed prominently and proudly displayed. It uses at least 4 types of paper, traditional string bound old style with unique folded pages giving lots of feel as you browse through it. Strategically inserted in-between the elegant photos are handwritten comments by celebrities, local and from abroad. Truly a global compass.

The forward, written by Diane von Furstenberg, reads as follows: “Olga is a true magician ! She knows how to create unforgettable experiences and does it effortlessly.”  To which I would add, Olga makes it seem effortless and that her whole genre and modus operandi.

It starts gently – from her journey’s first steps in NY. It makes for a fascinating introduction to the person.

The book is resplendent in its wonderful mix of photographs, colourful in places and stark black and white for contrast to create a magical presentation of her journey through time. The photos are an eclectic mix of events, from fashion such as Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Valentino to high end jewellery Audemars Piguet, IWC, Tiffany to galas (Passion ball). The breadth is just amazing.

Last but not least, the notes to each page are contained at the back rather than on each individual page. Might seem awkward to some, but it focuses the reader on the page itself – to enjoy the event itself, the backstage photos, the colour contrasts on every page.
